Collana Mèlisande

Ciao a voi, rieccomi con un'altra creazione. Questa volta si tratta di un ciondolo un pò particolare, realizzato sempre con la tecnica dell'embroidery. In questo periodo mi sto perdendo molto nella lettura, dopo tanto ho ripreso in mano il mio amato kindle e mi sto dedicando alla Trilogia di Kushiel di Jacqueline Carey.

Non so se avete mai letto questa trilogia, in caso negativo ve la consiglio assolutamente se vi piacciono le storie fantasy!

Questo ciondolo è ispirato proprio ad uno dei personaggi principali di questi libri: Mélisande Shahrizai (da qui il nome..che fantasia :p )

Ho incastonato, all'embroidery appunto, un cabochon in onice, misura 30x40, con treasure 11/0 e 15/0 charlotte della toho in colorazione Metallic Hematite, decorando l'interno dell'incastonatura con bicono Swarovski da 3 mm color Sapphire AB. All'esterno ho cucito una catena strass e decorato la parte centrale bassa del ciondolo con uno strass da 6mm sempre Swarovski in colorazione jet, rifinito in brick stitch con 11/0 e decorato con picot 15/0, sempre toho, in colorazione silver-lined cobalt.

Per la collana ho osato un pò! Ho realizzato un tubolare in RAW (right-angle weave) intervallando 11/0 nella stessa colorazione dei picot a delle 8/0 Hematite, proseguendo poi alternando bicono da 3 a rocailles 11/0 fino a terminare la collana alternando le 11 alle 15.

Questo è il risultato finale con relativi particolari!

The Mélisande Necklace

Greetings to you, 

Well here I am again with another creation. This time it is a pendant, a bit particular and as always, made with the technique of embroidery. 

In this period I'm losing much in reading, after so much I have taken in hand my beloved kindle and I'm dedicating to Kushiel Trilogy, from Jacqueline Carey.

I don't know if you've ever read this trilogy buy if not, I strongly recommend, especially if you like fantasy stories! This pendant is inspired it, from one of the main characters of these books: Mélisande Shahrizai (hence the name...).

I nestled a 30x 40mm Onyx cabochon, amidst an embroidery of 11/0 Treasure and 15/0 Charlotte Toho beads of metallic Hematite color, decorating the interior of the setting with some 3mm Swarovski bicone of Sapphire AB color.

On the outside, I have sewn a chain of rhinestones and decorated the lower central section of the necklace with one 6mm Swarovski rhinestone (Jet colored), finished in brick-stitch with 11/0 and decorated with picot 15/0, still in Toho beads ("Silver-lined Cobalt" colored).

For the necklace I dared a little! I made a tubular in RAW (right-angle weave) plein (full) 11/0 in the same color as the picot to the 8/0 Hematite, then continuing alternating bicone 3mm to rocailles 11/0 up to finish the necklace by alternating the 11 to 15.
